Narasimha: Fierce Combination Of Lion And A Man

The Fierce combination of a lion and a man “Vedic Narasimha” depicts the final form of Vishnu’s incarnation to kill Hiranyakasipu. Hiranyakasyipu, the asura king, had a boon from Brahma that made him almost indestructible.

He could not die either on earth or in space; neither in fire nor in water; neither during the day nor at night; inside nor outside (of a home); neither by a human, animal, or God; neither by inanimate nor by animate being.

Lord Narasimha, also called Sri Nrisimha, is a fearsome incarnation of Lord Vishnu. His name means “man-lion” and in his incarnation, as the man-lion, he killed Hiranyakashipu who was an evil king who was invincible due to being granted special boons by Brahma. Explore more with us on 4VEDs.com.
