The Shampoo You Use Is An Ancient Indian Concept

The word “shampoo” was first used in English in 1762 and shampooing began in India during the Vedic period. First known mention of shampoo is from the 4th century BC when Greek historian Strabo wrote about ancient Indian shampooing. Called by word “Shampoo” means massage which was made from Natural Ingredients, it was used to massage and wash hair. The oil that the Indians used was pure vegetable oils and they were not harsh on the scalp, unlike today’s synthetic shampoos which dry out your hair and scalp. Explore more with us at 4VEDs.com.
